Mastitis is one of the most common diseases threatening the dairy industry,
Dairy animal production can lose profit through decreased milk yield, discarded milk, treatment costs, premature culling, and death, decreased genetic potential and decreased reproductive performance.
Mastitis is caused by a wide range of bacterial infection causing clinical or
sub clinical mastitis.
Keeping your animals free from mastitis
and maintaining a low somatic cell count
(SCC) needs a good mastitis control
program and a lot of effort.

All over the world Respiratory problems is the leading cause of illness and death in Livestock production systems.
Scientists expect that 20% of all cattle raised for beef production will require clinical treatment for BRD at some point in their lives.”
Economic losses due to respiratory disease are caused by decreased production and increased veterinary costs and mortalities.
Respiratory disease is associated with
multiple bacteria, including Mannheimia
haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida,
Histophilus somni, and Mycoplasma bovis,
and compounded by viruses, including
Bovine Herpesvirus, Bovine Respiratory
Syncytial Virus, Parainfluenza 3, Bovine
coronavirus (BCoV), Bovine adenovirus-3 or 7 (BAV-3/7), Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus.

The ruminant digestive system uniquely qualifies
ruminant animals such as cattle to efficiently use
high roughage feedstuffs, including forage turning
it into higher value Human food (Meat and Milk).
Healthy Digestive system is a key component to a
successful livestock operation.
Enteric health refers to how well nutrients from feed are absorbed and how well pathogens are contained within the digestive tract.
Every part of the digestive tract needs to have a
secured barrier to keep microbes inside the tract.
A good balanced microbiome and a strong barrier
can be referred to as good gut health.
Digestive tract diseases, which can include
salmonella, cryptosporidium (crypto), and
E. coli. Once damage occurs, a pathway for
other bacteria, toxins, and pathogens is
opened, causing the animal to be
susceptible to diseases.

Both External and Internal parasites have
significant impact on livestock productivity..
Although there are many species of worm
parasites harbored in the gastrointestinal and
respiratory tracts of cattle, only a few target
species are clinically and economically important.
These include liver fluke, the brown stomach
worm Ostertagia, Cooperia, Eimeria bovis and the
lungworm Dictyocaulus.
Parasites of the stomach and intestine cause
anemia, scouring, depression and even death, the
effects of parasitism usually are insidious and
subclinical, such as indigestion and poor feed
conversion, less than expected weight gain and
(for brood cows) decreased milk production.
Lungworms cause verminous pneumonia
and provide an environment conducive for
viral and bacterial pneumonia, with
labored breathing and anxiety evident.
Depressed performance then may be a
consequence of internal parasitism.
External parasites of ruminants include
Lice, Mites, Flies and Ticks.
